Or you can get caught up quickly with the following:

  • Our Early Learning Center is on schedule to open in August
  • There are several high quality preschool programs in our area, and our plan is to be among them
  • Our faculty will be highly trained and well compensated. They will be utilizing an integrated curriculum that is among the highest-acclaimed available
  • Preschool programs held in churches are not required to be licensed by the State of Indiana. However, we are taking the extra steps to be a licensed center—which has higher bars for health standards, teacher/child rations, teaching environments and more
  • Additionally, we will be taking the highly unusual step of pursuing accreditation by the NAEYC. Very few programs pursue this because of the rigors and high standards required. It is our goal to receive this accreditation by the 2nd or 3rd year of our program
  • The Early Learning Center will be unashamedly faith-based

  • Registration for the Early Learning Center is March 19th at noon. You will want to remember that date, because admission will be considered first come – first served

We’ve also finalized the logo for the Early Learning Center. We’ve chosen the dandelion as the symbol for our new school. Dandelions symbolize happiness, hope, and childhood. The journey of the seeds as they float through the air can be seen as time passing and starting anew out in the world. Children love to make chains with dandelions. They are a bane to the perfect lawn…just like children! And dandelions thrive under adverse conditions, providing healing and nutrition to those who know it’s redemptive qualities.

Construction has been happening on more than just The Commons. Right around the corner, trees are being cleared and space is being prepared for a new natural playground. This will be an amazing play and learning space, not just for the children and families enrolled at our new Early Learning Center, but for the children and families in our entire community. There’s so much to celebrate.
